Problem would be when in the mow positon out to the side of the tractor. Gotta watch hills and left front tire coming up off the ground. If you have a loader and light front end just put something in the bucket to give you some front end weight; sand, gravel, rocks. When mowing, the unit sits on the ground and weight is just ½ the weight of the 3 pt adapter....thereabouts......nothing.
On hp requirements, forget it. Takes nothing to run one of these. Did the same to find an OMC round baler. Worth the cost...free. I really like mine and they have served me well. However, the Reese manual is the most useless waste of paper in the history of AG. Useless is giving it a compliment,. A call to the distributor in Missouri or Kansas is also a waste, unless you enjoy talking to the family kids that can’t hold a job anyplace except Dad’s shop.They make a 1950’s blacksmith shop seem hi-tech.
I wonder how big the name Reese could have been in American Ag with a more aggressive, give a darn, distributor.

That hyd folds. Is pretty heavy folded up. But belt will just take 80 hp or so. You may need 500 lb. Or so on left wheel. I used mine on a 6060 allis for years. 60hp. My old MF65 (50HP) gas would not handle it, weight or power.
I also have a Reese 2040w. What a great mower with a spreader.

Problem would be when in the mow positon out to the side of the tractor. Gotta watch hills and left front tire coming up off the ground. If you have a loader and light front end just put something in the bucket to give you some front end weight; sand, gravel, rocks. When mowing, the unit sits on the ground and weight is just ½ the weight of the 3 pt adapter....thereabouts......nothing.
On hp requirements, forget it. Takes nothing to run one of these. Did the same to find an OMC round baler. Worth the cost...free. I really like mine and they have served me well. However, the Reese manual is the most useless waste of paper in the history of AG. Useless is giving it a compliment,. A call to the distributor in Missouri or Kansas is also a waste, unless you enjoy talking to the family kids that can’t hold a job anyplace except Dad’s shop.They make a 1950’s blacksmith shop seem hi-tech.
I wonder how big the name Reese could have been in American Ag with a more aggressive, give a darn, distributor.

That hyd folds. Is pretty heavy folded up. But belt will just take 80 hp or so. You may need 500 lb. Or so on left wheel. I used mine on a 6060 allis for years. 60hp. Just was careful on slopes with it up. Great mower.I run it on a JD5420 (65 PTO hp) In really thick downed hay it works it pretty hard. It is a heavy sucker, with the deck raised I drive very carefully on hilly ground.
My old MF65 (50HP) gas would not handle it, weight or power.
I also have a Reese 2040w. What a great mower with a spreader.
